You're probably thinking about why I haven't published anything for the past 3 weeks. Is it because I quit? No! The reason why is that I'm now a college student and I'm focusing more on work than YouTube. Even though I don't want to let you guys down by not uploading videos for a very long time. What I'm planning on doing is to record another PC video. Possibly Sniper Elite 4 which I've bought last week. I also want to use my Elgato on the PS4 sometime soon and record gameplay from there instead of the unreliable DVR which cuts portions of the video. Stay tuned for a video coming later this week.
Today, I've received my Elgato HD60 that I've purchased online about a few days ago. As of right now, I'm still trying to tweak the settings on the Elgato to get the most out of the device such as recording gameplay with commentary, video and audio bit rate, and sound settings. When I regularly record my videos on the Playstation 4, I use the system's DVR to eliminate costs of getting a capture card. In my previous PS4 videos, you will notice that some scenes are cut out or the intro to my videos are cut out. I usually wait at least 15 seconds for the DVR to record gameplay. Then, I start commentating over the video. I know it will have a significant difference in quality on my videos as it will show its true quality rather than upscaling the frame rate and video dimensions.
As of today, I have bought a new graphics card which will replace my EVGA Nvidia GTX 750 Ti SC. That card is a much more powerful MSI Nvidia GTX 970 which 4GB of memory, higher clock speed, more CUDA cores, higher memory clock speed, and much more! I will keep you up to date when until I receive my new graphics card.
UPDATE: 8/5/2018: I received my MSI GTX 970 graphics card in the mail on August 1st and unfortunately, it was a DOA (Dead On Arrival) because of the lack of electrostatic protection on the card during the shipping process. I requested a return and refund from the seller and I'm currently looking for another 970 on the market. I'm planning on getting an EVGA GeForce GTX 970. Either the SC or the FTW version. What I didn't like about the MSI card is the height since it's 5.6 inches tall rather than 4.4 inches high for some of the other GPUs on the market like Zotac, EVGA, and more. I'll keep you up-to-date if I get this graphics card or if I run into more problems. Hopefully, I don't... UPDATE: 8/15/2018: Finally, I upgraded the GPU! I got my EVGA Nvidia GTX 970 SC today for $150. I swapped out the old one and placed the new one in and I was amazed at the increase in gaming performance from these two graphics cards. With the GTX 970, it fits well inside the computer which is a Dell T3500 and the 525W power supply can power it up without any problems. However, I had to purchase a 6-pin splitter which converts a single 6-pin to a 2x 6-pin power connector. What I'm going to do is that I'm planning on creating another GPU comparison video (I really don't make videos like these that often) between the GTX 750 Ti SC and the GTX 970 SC and show you how much of a difference between these two cards. Now I can play games at a higher framerate and graphics settings for better visual content! You're probably thinking about myself naming this title stating that I've lost my internet mentality. That's not the case because I've just installed a more powerful, top-of-the-line Intel Xeon processors on the LGA 1366 socket called the Xeon W3690. It's a six core, twelve thread processor with clock speeds at 3.46Ghz and boost clock speeds at 3.73Ghz. I've upgraded to this processor from an Intel Xeon W3580 which is slightly slower and has 4 cores and eight threads. The reason for upgrading this CPU is to lower the rendering time on my video editing program MAGIX Vegas 15 and to slightly decrease bottlenecking in games. Even though I want to upgrade the GPU to a GTX 970 which I'm considering in the future.
On June 29th, I've received my microphone which is the Samson C01U. Not the newer one which is the C01U Pro. It's a supercardioid, studio-grade microphone used for commentary, broadcasts, podcasts, etc. It's somewhat better than the Blue Snowball mic and does less than the more expensive Blue Yeti which has four audio patterns. As soon as I got my mic, I ran some test audio files to see how it sounds like. It picks up everything as I record such as me typing on the keyboard, clicking the mouse, having a fan running, and more. The audio quality sounds richer than my Turtle Beach headset, but I'll try to improve the quality as I know how to do it on Adobe Audition and Audacity. I will be using this to record my upcoming video on Mass Effect 2. The first shooter game that I've ever owned. If you haven't already, please subscribe to my channel so you won't miss a video on PC and PS4 as I upload on a weekly basis.
https://www.youtube.com/user/MrJacon000?sub_confirmation=1 As of yesterday afternoon, my partnership with Social Blade/BBTV has been terminated due to YouTube's new changes to their YPP (YouTube Partnership Program). What's needed to be a part of the program is that a channel must have over 1,000 subscribers and must have 4,000 hours in watch time within the past 12 months. Currently I have 273 subscribers and have at least 38,000 watch time in minutes within the past year. On average, I used to get at a minimum of $3-$8 per month, now I can't receive any more money due to YouTube's new policy changes. To get my channel back on its feet, please subscribe to my channel so I get my 1,000 subscribers and my partnership back! (Thanks Susan Wojcicki!!)
I forgot to post this a couple days ago, but I have purchased a Dell Precision T3500 workstation that can be used as a medium-weight gaming PC. I purchased this on eBay on 12/30/17 for $160 from Federal Way, Washington and received it in one week.
UPDATE June 5th, 2018: I've upgraded both drives of the computer as I've received my Crucial MX300 525GB SSD as my operating system drive and a WD Black 4TB HDD for stored data. For my new SSD, it is a significant improvement in file transfer speed, loading and saving, and even booting up to the OS compared to my older HDD. My current specs of the computer are listed below. Specifications:
Ladies and gentlemen, one of my milestones for reaching 250 subscribers have been achieved! I have just reached 250 before 1:00 PM and I was at 248 subscribers yesterday. As promised, I will be debuting a brand new intro/outro scenes on all my videos starting Wednesday. The intro/outro video itself will be posted tomorrow on here and on my YouTube channel. Down below, there's a screenshot from my phone showing that I've reached 250 and having over 800,000 total video views. Isn't that amazing!? You may or may not have noticed that I have done a few cosmetic websites changes. One of them is the new "Back to Top" feature to scroll to the top of a webpage with just one click of the yellow button on the bottom right. Another change is the new advertisements on each page. Since some people flood their websites with 2, to 4, or more ads on a page, I will only keep it to one because I'm not going to make sky-high profits for a non-commerce website like this.
I also noticed that there seems to be an issue with the main header picture on the homepage. I'll try to investigate that and see if I can try to fix it in the future. UPDATE: 11/12/2017 - I received an e-mail a couple hours ago stating that my website is not approved for AdSense due to a lack of content. I'm still working on this as I will provide more content to satisfy the requirements for running ads on my website. Over the past 4 weeks, I started to have a huge decline in activity on uploading my YouTube videos as I usually upload 2 times a week, but now I'm uploading once a week. On my latest update video, (HERE!) I stated that the reason I'm not uploading that much because of the intense senior capstone projects for my school. About my school's capstone project is that me and a small group of my senior classmates come up with a very realistic design concept that can be used to solve a problem in real life. I'm the type of person of my team that gathers up the facts for my team's project and I'm also planning on learning JavaScript in order for our project's app to function once we figure out a plan.
For my YouTube channel, I will try to at least get a video maybe at the beginning of next week by the 24th rather than just suspending my channel for several weeks or months since I'm starting to gain a very small amount of subscribers every month. |
